Blockchain Lender Figure Raises $787.5 Million in IPO
Figure Technology Solutions Inc., a blockchain-based credit services firm, has secured $787.5 million in its initial public offering, selling 31.5 million shares at $25 each—a price exceeding initial expectations. The offering, led by Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, and BofA Securities, values the company at approximately $5.3 billion based on outstanding shares.
The IPO coincides with a surge in U.S. public listings, including Klarna Group Plc's $1.37 billion debut and Gemini Space Station Inc.'s impending offering. Founded in 2018 by ex-SoFi CEO Mike Cagney, Figure leverages blockchain to streamline lending processes, building on its $3.2 billion valuation from 2021.
